Lakshmi Puja
लक्ष्मी पूजा
Significance
Lakshmi Puja is performed for wealth, prosperity, and abundance. It is the central ritual of Diwali (the main night). Also performed every Friday and on Sharad Purnima. Lakshmi is always worshipped alongside Ganesha — Ganesha removes obstacles so Lakshmi's blessings can flow freely.

Why We Light the Diya
Sesame oil diyas produce negative ions that purify air. The specific light frequency (warm yellow, ~2700K) triggers melatonin regulation. Research: Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2019.
Why We Ring the Bell
Temple bells produce a frequency of ~7Hz with an echo lasting 7 seconds. This activates both brain hemispheres simultaneously, creating a meditative state. Research: IISC Bangalore acoustic study.
Why We Use Tulsi
Tulsi (Holy Basil) releases ozone and oxygen, purifying the air within a 200-meter radius. Proven antimicrobial properties against 8 types of bacteria. WHO Traditional Medicine monograph.
Why We Apply Haldi
Curcumin (turmeric active compound) is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Applied on the forehead (ajna chakra), it stimulates the pineal gland. 12,000+ peer-reviewed papers on curcumin.
