Satyanarayan Puja
सत्यनारायण पूजा
Significance
Satyanarayan Puja is one of the most popular Hindu rituals dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Satyanarayan. It is performed on Purnima (full moon) days or on any auspicious occasion to seek blessings for prosperity and well-being.

Puja Vidhi (Step by Step)
- 1

- 2
Kalash Sthapana
Fill a brass kalash with water, place mango leaves and a coconut on top. This represents the universe and divine presence.
कलशस्य मुखे विष्णुः कण्ठे रुद्रः समाश्रितः

Ganesh Puja
Invoke Lord Ganesh first to remove all obstacles from the puja.
ॐ गं गणपतये नमः

Worship the five deities — Ganesh, Shiva, Vishnu, Durga, and Surya with flowers and akshat.
ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय
- 5

Why We Light the Diya
Sesame oil diyas produce negative ions that purify air. The specific light frequency (warm yellow, ~2700K) triggers melatonin regulation. Research: Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2019.
Why We Ring the Bell
Temple bells produce a frequency of ~7Hz with an echo lasting 7 seconds. This activates both brain hemispheres simultaneously, creating a meditative state. Research: IISC Bangalore acoustic study.
Why We Use Tulsi
Tulsi (Holy Basil) releases ozone and oxygen, purifying the air within a 200-meter radius. Proven antimicrobial properties against 8 types of bacteria. WHO Traditional Medicine monograph.
Why We Apply Haldi
Curcumin (turmeric active compound) is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Applied on the forehead (ajna chakra), it stimulates the pineal gland. 12,000+ peer-reviewed papers on curcumin.
