The Golden Age — truth and righteousness prevail. Humans live for 100,000 years. Dharma stands on four legs.

Treta Yuga

75% dharma

1,296,000 years

The Silver Age — dharma begins to decline. Lord Rama appears. Three-quarters virtue remains.

Dvapara Yuga

50% dharma

864,000 years

The Bronze Age — further decline. Lord Krishna appears. Half virtue, half vice.

Kali Yuga

25% dharma

432,000 years

The Iron Age (current) — maximum spiritual decline. Started in 3102 BCE after Krishna's departure. Only one-quarter dharma remains.

One Maha Yuga (4 Yugas) = 4,320,000 years

1,000 Maha Yugas = 1 Kalpa = 1 Day of Brahma = 4.32 billion years

Life of Brahma = 311.04 trillion years (current Brahma is 51 years old)
