Sita's Strength

RamayanaInner Strength

When Ravana imprisoned Sita in the Ashoka garden of Lanka, he tried everything to break her will. He offered her the throne of Lanka, showered her with jewels, and threatened her with death. Demonesses surrounded her day and night, trying to frighten her into submission. But Sita never wavered. She held a single blade of grass between herself and Ravana, saying, "You are not worthy of even this straw compared to Rama." Her calm defiance enraged Ravana more than any army could. She drew her strength from her unwavering faith and inner resolve. When Hanuman found her, Sita could have escaped on his back. Instead, she said, "Let Rama come and defeat Ravana properly. Dharma must be upheld." Her patience and courage became the moral backbone of the entire war.
