Karna's Generosity
Karna, the great warrior, was known as Daanveer — the hero of giving. He had vowed never to refuse anyone who asked him for something, especially during his morning prayers to the Sun. Enemies tried to exploit this vow, yet Karna never broke his word. After the great war, Karna lay wounded on the battlefield. Lord Krishna, disguised as a Brahmin, approached and asked for gold. Karna had nothing left — his armor, earrings, and weapons were gone. But he picked up a stone and broke his own golden tooth. He washed it with an arrow-summoned stream of water, because even a gift given in pain should be offered clean and with respect. Krishna revealed his true form and blessed Karna, saying, "Your generosity will shine through all of time."

The Moral
True generosity is giving joyfully even when you yourself have little. The spirit of giving matters more than the size of the gift.
