The Brahmin's Dream
A poor Brahmin received a pot of flour as charity. That night, he hung it above his bed and began dreaming. "I will sell this flour and buy goats. The goats will multiply, and I will trade them for cows. The cows will give milk, and I will sell ghee. With that money, I will build a mansion and marry a princess!" He continued dreaming. "When my son misbehaves, I will kick him to teach discipline!" Lost in the fantasy, the Brahmin kicked his leg out hard. His foot struck the pot of flour hanging above. The pot shattered, covering him head to toe in white flour. His dreams, his flour, and his plans were all gone in an instant. The Brahmin sat in the mess, realizing he had lost the only real thing he had.
