Meaning

This is the aarti of Krishna, the one who wanders in the groves (kunj bihari), the lifter of Govardhan mountain (giridhar). He wears a Vaijanti garland around his neck and plays the sweet flute. Earrings sparkle in his ears — he is Nanda's joy, Nandlala. His body is dark like the sky, beside him shines Radhika. He wears a golden peacock crown that makes even the gods yearn for his sight. Flowers rain from the sky as he stands with the flute in his hands.
